Working on Sunday

Mexicans grow up knowing and using a lot of sayings in our everyday conversations. For example, my mom would be doing some cleaning and if we were in her way she would say "mucho ayuda, el que no estorba (who disturbs the least, helps a lot)" so we would move out of her way. As kids we like to mess with things we are not supposed to mess with, so when this happened adults would say: "no trabajes en domingo (Don't work on Sundays)" and after hearing this we would get the point and stop doing what we were doing.

Now, I try to teach Caleb some of these sayings and sometimes he says them to the kids, especially the "no trabajes en Domingo."
This morning after getting the kids up, we were getting their breakfast ready, when Ilan said: (looking at his little brother messing with something) "daddy, Liam is working on Sunday!"

Caleb and I just looked at each other with surprise and exchanged smiles. This kid is just too funny nowadays.
